Bridget Herdman

Sport Therapist

Bridget graduated from Coventry University and initially came to us on our Intern Scheme. To say that she impressed us would be an understatement, which is why she is at the helm of our newest clinic in Peterborough.

Up until recently she has been getting used to clinic life at our HQ and more recently has been running our Cambridge clinic and gained some other great experience so far.

She worked with the university American football team and The National wheelchair basketball team. During her degree Bridget researched biomechanics of the walking gait of amputees and how the body adapts to allow function with a prosthetic limb and how different gait can be between varying amputee levels i.e. above knee and below knee.

She has played hockey for St. Neots and Coventry University and captained her side to runners up in the league and has competed locally as a keen horse rider.

You might find her also helping out on the family farm – driving tractors and milking cows and as an active member of young farmers has competed in a variety of different areas, handicrafts, flower arranging, public speaking and stock judging.

Far be it from us to point out that horse and cattle anatomy is essentially the same as human, but on 4 legs not 2, she preferred the idea of fixing people to farm animals (good choice).
