There is never a good time to get hurt, a sports injury or suffer from chronic on-going niggles that just wont go away. Our Physios and Sports Therapists will get to the root of the problem.
Traditional Oxford Dictionary Definition of physiotherapy:
[noun] The treatment of disease, injury, or deformity by physical methods such as massage, heat treatment, and exercise rather than by drugs or surgery.
That’s one way to describe it! But how about: The art of helping clients become stronger, happier and injury-free making it easier to conquer sporting and physical challenges leading to a fuller, active and pain free life?
You see, we are anything but traditional. We are proud of our client centred approach (we’ve won awards for it). We have the best Sports Therapists and Physios in the business with specialist expertise and years of practical experience they’ve used to help runners complete epic desert races, win medals in a multitude of sports and returned countless individuals from injury, back to the things in life that are most important to them.
Sport Injuries – 5 Step Approach
It doesn’t matter what injury you have or how you got it we have a simple 5 step approach to sport injuries, getting you back on your feet. It’s been tried and tested on literally thousands of clients and it’s very effective.
1 First we’ll listen to you.
After all no one knows your symptoms better than you. And we want to know everything, does it hurt when you do this? Does it ache if you do that? This information is essential to everything else we do.
2 Then we’ll assess and test and test again
We’ve got several tests for every bit of you. This is the clever stuff that helps us to diagnose the root cause the problem.
3 We will explain everything to you plain English
Because we want you to fully understand what’s wrong. Simply, why bits hurt, why they’re not working quite as they should and what we are going to do about it.
4 Next we’ll treat you
Using all the skills and treatments at our disposal to deal with the areas causing your problem. We might use massage, manipulations, stretching, acupuncture or electrotherapy. Basically anything that we feel would be appropriate to get you moving better with less pain.
5 Lastly, by no means least, we’ll start your rehabilitation.
A tailored plan of exercises specific to you and your problem to prevent future problems and get you back to doing what you love, just better.
It isn’t rocket science. We do the simple things well and we get results.
